David is the Principal Architect and has over 25 years of experience providing architectural design services for commercial, industrial, residential and historic preservation projects. Outside of work, he enjoys wilderness kayaking and restoring his 1940s Art Deco building.

ELIZABETH Weaver (she/her)

Elizabeth loves space planning. She provides architectural design and drafting services for commercial and residential projects. She has over a decade of experience designing for general office, medical/dental, restaurant, financial institutions and multi-family residential projects.


Outside of work, she enjoys travel, fiber arts, jumping in puddles and collecting the best bits of nature with her favorite tiny humans.



Michael DeMaagd Rodriguez

Michael is our resident historic preservation expert. He brings more than a decade of construction experience in service to historic preservation and traditional construction trades. He is also an educator, teaching building technology to architecture students at the University of Notre Dame, and is an appointed member of the Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission.


Outside of work, he enjoys working on his c.1870 home, learning to garden, walking and biking in his Heritage Hill neighborhood, and keeping pace with his energetic toddler.
